Rev. Frederick Reinhardt,
Served the Lord in Central and East
Rev. Frederick Reinhardt is based out of Nairobi, Kenya, where he has served since Feb. 2011 as the area facilitator for French-speaking Central and East Africa. In this role, Fred works with the African leadership of the various French-speaking Lutheran church bodies in Rwanda, Burundi, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, Cameroon and the Portuguese-speaking countries of Angola and Mozambique. He also coordinates contact with emerging Lutheran groups that are interested in partnership with the LCMS or requesting theological training. Previously, Fred served in northeastern Togo, from 2000 to 2007, which included his two-year vicarage. Then, from 2007-2010, he was based out of Senegal as the French-speaking West Africa area facilitator.
Fred’s home congregation is Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pensacola, Fla. He is a “second-career” pastor and missionary, having enjoyed a 21-year career in the civil and foreign service before starting at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo., in 1997.
